Provide outstanding opportunities in science and math
for all who wish to learn.

We will: 1) educate first rate teachers who continue to return to the University upgrade their skills and contribute knowledge; 2) provide educational and research opportunities for students so they are comfortable and productive in a University environment; 3) make available research and teaching scholarships and fellowships to encourage and support students from high school through post-doctoral levels; 4) encourage and support faculty who use new teaching methods and design new courses; 5)  make the general public more aware of the excitement, wonder and relevance of science and math; and 6) have regional, national and international impact.
