Patricia M. Patane has been teaching for Stony Brook University since 2001, with primary courses including CEP 513 and CEP 514. In addition to teaching, she has 35 years of experience in healthcare, both as a certified athletic trainer and a physical therapist.

A Long Island native, Pat earned a BS degree from James Madison University (physical and health education/athletic training), an MS from the University of Florida (exercise and sport sciences/athletic training), and a BS from Stony Brook University (physical therapy).

Pat has vast professional experience working with athletes, primarily at the collegiate level, but also ranging from the scholastic level through US Olympians. She currently works with the general population as a physical therapist, specializing in orthopedic, sports, and post-operative conditions. She is board-certified in orthopedic physical therapy.
