Louisa is a lecturer at Stony Brook University. She received her bachelor's degree in theater arts and philosophy from Stony Brook, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her master's degree in acting from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She worked as a professional actor in New York, appearing on stage and on screen, but she always felt that theater ought to serve a broader purpose.
