Dr. Christina SanInocencio is a lecturer in the School of Communication and Journalism. Dr. SanInocencio holds a PhD in Communication from the University of Maryland, an MS in Media Studies from CUNY Brooklyn College, a BFA in Electronic Media from Long Island University - Post, and a graduate certificate in health communication from Stony Brook.

She teaches two courses in the SoCJ: COM 357 - Health Communication and COM 106 - Introduction to Mass Media. She is a qualitative health communication scholar with research interests in rare diseases and neurology, science communication, and mass media effects, particularly in the context of health.
