Best Known for his irrelevant writing handbook “Pity the Poor Reader,” Charles Haddad has also written three middle-age reader novels and four adult novels. He also teaches narrative nonfiction writing and journalism at Stony Brook University. Previously, he worked 25 years as a journalist, covering some of the biggest financial scandals of the early 2000s while at BusinessWeek magazine. While not a scholar, Haddad’s work has been highly influential in academia. Some of his most significant stories are used as case studies in law and business schools nationwide. His work has also been included in several academic readers and cited often in scholarly research.
