“Attending Stony Brook's MA in Philosophy and the Arts was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions I have ever made. There is no other program that could have allowed me to explore my deep interest in art through a rigorous theoretical lens. The program's curriculum creates a symbiotic, reciprocal relationship between art and philosophy, allowing each to deepen and expand the other. Field trips to museums in and around NYC were some of my favorite memories; I felt for the first time the power to critically engage art at a level that pressed at the edge of thought. 

This program has springboarded me into the art world. With my degree, I plan on pursuing a career at the intersection of art and education.”
