About Jacquelin Li
Student Assistant (2025-)
Jacquelin is a junior at Stony Brook University pursuing Multidisciplinary Studies, with concentrations in Technological Systems Management (TSM), Media/Art/Culture (MAC), and Asian and Asian American Studies (AAAS), along with a minor in Japanese Studies. She enjoys playing the piano and flute, listening to diverse music genres, and experimenting with different art styles and mediums—most recently, urban sketching and digital design. Having to often translate and interpret for her parents in Chinese, she developed a deep appreciation for how language can foster meaningful connections across cultures and generations. As of now, she is continuing to explore the intersections between technology, multilingual communication, and visual storytelling through multimedia projects alongside her ongoing Japanese learning journey. She hopes to pursue a career as a freelance UI/UX designer, aiming to use her design skills to create functional and inclusive interfaces adaptable to both high- and low-context cultures.
