Li Wei is Professor of Applied Linguistics at Birkbeck College, University of London, where he is Pro Vice Master of the College and Director of the Birkbeck Graduate Research School. His research interests cover the broad field of bilingualism and multilingualism. His current work focuses on the social cognition and creativity of multilingual language users. He is Chair of the University Council of General and Applied Linguistics (UCGAL), UK and an Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences (AcSS), UK. He is the Principal Editor of the International Journal of Bilingualism (SSCI, INT1).
