What is the faculty/staff meal plan?
The faculty/staff meal plan is a convenient way to make food and beverage purchases
on campus using your Stony Brook University ID card. You can open a plan with $150.
The points in your account do not expire and continue to roll over each year.
How does the faculty/staff meal plan work?
Every time you make a food or beverage purchase using your Stony Brook University
ID card, the amount is automatically withdrawn from your faculty/staff meal plan.
You can keep track of your balance with a receipt from any cashier orcheck your balance online. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for your convenience.Log in using your Stony Brook University NET ID and password.
Where can I use my faculty/staff meal plan?
The faculty/staff meal plan can be used at any SBU Eats dining location including
the SBU Eats food truck fleet offering menu items such as grill favorites, wings,
empanadas, pizza and more! You can also use it at other food trucks such as Anona,
Halal Wayz, Chatime and Mr. Kim’s Hibachi Grill. In addition to the great retail
restaurants on campus, your plan can also be used at East Side and West Side dine-in
all-you-care-to-eat venues. View all of the west campus dining locations to use your
plan at “Where to Eat” on the SBU Eats website.
Is there a minimum deposit required when adding funds to my faculty/staff meal plan?
After you open your faculty/staff meal plan with a minimum of $150, you can add funds
in increments of $20 or more.
When I initially sign up for my Faculty/Staff Meal Plan, how long before the funds
can be used?
Deposits to your account will appear within 24 hours except for holidays and weekends,
which will appear the next business day.
After you enroll in the plan, they will instantly be available when you add funds.
Can I request a refund?
If your balance is 20 points or more and you are no longer working at Stony Brook University,
you can request a refund of your faculty/staff meal plan by sending an email to mealplan@stonybrook.edu or call 631.632.6517. Refunds will be issued back to your credit/debit card. The
additional bonus value cannot be refunded. After two years of inactivity, any value
left on the account will be forfeited.
Can I transfer my Wolfie Wallet funds to my faculty/staff meal plan?
Yes, you can transfer your Wolfie Wallet funds to your faculty/staff meal plan. Please
contact mealplan@stonybrook.edu or call 631.632.6517 if you would like to transfer your funds.
Do I have to pay sales tax on purchases made with the faculty/staff meal plan?
Yes, food and beverage purchases are taxed when you pay with the faculty/staff meal
plan.
Lost Cards
If you lost your ID card, please visit the Stony Brook University Campus Card Office
at the Stony Brook Union, Suite 207.
To safeguard students’ meal plan accounts, cashiers are not permitted to key in ID
numbers without a photo ID. Lost cards must be replaced within 72 hours.
On a desktop device: in the Quick Links menu on the right of the page, click"I lost my card"and follow the prompts
On a mobile device: in the Quick Links menu towards the bottom of the page, click"I lost my card"and follow the prompts
On the GET Mobile app: tap Settings in the bottom menu and click "Report card as lost"and follow the prompts
NOTE: When you report your card lost, it will put a hold on all of your accounts (Meal
Plan and Wolfie Wallet).
Replacing Lost, Stolen or Damaged Campus ID Cards
In the event you need to replace your student ID card, please contact theCampus Card office.
If your ID card is lost, damaged, or no longer functions and is less than four years
old, a $25 replacement fee will apply. Please note that this fee will apply to cards
that do not appear visibly damaged, as the Campus Card Office cannot attest to what
stresses were placed on the card that caused it to malfunction. Our ID cards are designed
to last at least four years under normal use and conditions.
There will be no charge for a new ID card related to the following:
A name change
A title change
The first ID card issued
A replacement for an expired ID card related to employment
