Ceremony Details
10 am | Robing and Refreshments, Stony Brook Arena, Pritchard Gym
10:45 am | Academic Procession begins
11 am | Investiture Ceremony (approximately 90 minutes)
12:30 pm | Reception, Stony Brook Union
Tickets
Tickets are not required for procession participants.
Guests are welcome to attend and should register for a General Admission ticket.
Academic attire and arrival information
Please arrive at the President’s Suite in the Stony Brook Arena by 10 am, wearing your academic regalia, to check in and line up prior to the start of the ceremony. If you have ordered regalia, it will be available in the suite upon arrival.
All participants should be robed and in line by 10:30 am. The Academic Procession will begin moving at 10:45 am, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 11 am.
You are welcome to leave personal items in the President’s Suite during the ceremony. Please note that Stony Brook University is not responsible for any lost items. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the procession will return to the robing area. Please collect your belongings before proceeding to the reception.
