SOME HISTORY

Employee Appreciation Day, always observed on the first Friday in March, was created by Bob Nelson, an authority on employee engagement, in 1995. It coincided with the publication of his book 1,001 Ways to Reward Employees.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN 

From appreciation swag to gratitude grams to raffles, get ready to feel appreciated, motivated, & proud to be part of the SBU family.  Employees will learn about Benefits, Training and so much more. We will have  variety of tables representative of our campus partners such as the Seawolf Resource Groups, Office of Equity and Access and University Police. We will also have tables with financial advisors such as Corebridge, Fidelity, Voya and more. Employees will also have a chance to mingle, receive giveaways, participate in appreciation activities, wellness activities and raffle drawings.
