Homecoming is right around the corner and so is our second annual Door Decorating Contest! Put your creativity on display by transforming your workspace door into a spirited showcase of SBU pride, homecoming energy and team spirit.
Guidelines
- Decorations must be safe and allow the door to function fully.
- Decorations must align with SUNY system requirements and the university’s sustainability goals (e.g., avoid single-use balloons.)
- Only one door per department will be reviewed.
- Your door must be decorated no later than October 9th, 2026.
- An evaluation committee will review the doors.
- Judging will be based on creativity, visual impact, craftsmanship, and homecoming spirit.
- Winners will be announced during the week of October 19th.
How to Enter
Submit this Door Decorating Registration Form no later than October 1st, 2026.
What's the Prize?
The victorious team will enjoy an SBU-sponsored breakfast —plus a full year of bragging rights. Congratulations again to last year's winners, The Stony Brook Child Care Center and East Campus' DLAR.
