The Stony Brook Future Scholars Program is a 5 year pre-college program long-term initiative designed to support students from middle school through college. Rooted in proven models like Rutgers Future Scholars and GEAR UP, the program offers mentorship, academic enrichment, and college readiness resources to help students thrive.
The Stony Brook Future Scholars Program empowers students through a holistic approach
that combines academic support, personal development, and community engagement. By
fostering confidence, resilience, and essential life skills, the program prepares
students to succeed in college and beyond. Through collaboration and a shared commitment
to equity, we work to break down barriers to education and create meaningful opportunities
for the next generation of leaders.
Each year, students are selected in partnership with five local districts:
