Water Bottle Filling Stations

Stony Brook University currently has over 100 water bottle filling stations in academic and residential buildings available to the campus community. Students, faculty and staff  are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles to campus and discontinue the use of disposable plastic bottles whenever possible. Each filling station at Stony Brook is equipped with an electronic counter that displays the number of plastic bottles saved, with figures being collected monthly by a dedicated group of students with a focus on sustainability.
