Subject: BIG NEWS!  Introducing TimelyCare, 24/7 Virtual Healthcare for Seawolves

Dear Seawolves,

We are very excited to offerTimelyCare, a new health, counseling, and wellness service that provides all graduate and undergraduate students with access to 24/7 virtual medical and mental health care. TimelyCare complements the existing array of services offered by Student Health Services (SHS), Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), Center for Prevention & Outreach (CPO), and Recreation & Wellness (RAW), and is included as part of the Health and Counseling broad based fee.

Starting today, whether you're under the weather, anxious or overwhelmed, you will be able to talk to a licensed provider from your smartphone or computer, either by a voice or video call, anytime, day or night. Additionally, if you require medical care, a virtual prescribing provider is available for your needs.

Please read these FAQs below to learn more:

Yes. TimelyCare providers can prescribe medications that they feel are clinically necessary and safe. Not all medical conditions can be treated virtually and often you may be referred back to Stony Brook’s Student Health Services for an in-person visit and diagnostic testing.

Will I still be able to access existing Stony Brook campus services?
A. Yes, TimelyCare supplements our existing health, wellness, and prevention offerings from Student Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Center for Prevention and Outreach and Recreation and Wellness

Is the information I share confidential?
