Help Address Pest Control Issues - Submit a FIXIT Work Order

Dear Seawolves,
Prior to the start of each semester, our Campus Residences and Facilities & Services teams take several precautions and pest control measures to ensure that our facilities are free from any pests. However, there is always a chance that these pests may find their way into our buildings, which is why we have implemented a timely response plan to ensure these issues are addressed quickly.
HOW CAN WE HELP?
Should you notice pests or bugs in your residential living area, please submit a work order via FIXIT. From there, our teams will promptly coordinate a response with you and our pest control management company. If you notice a pest or bug situation that is an emergency (presence of a rodent, bed bug, or several bugs gathering in one location), please contact the RA for your building.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
There are several things you can do to help keep our residential communities free from pests:
- Remove trash as quickly as possible
- Store food in sealed containers
- Keep your space clean (reduce clutter, wash/dry dishes, etc.)
- Wash bed linens and damp clothes regularly
- Check all boxes that come in from the outside, as they can be carriers of bugs
- Check window screens for any tears or holes. If you find any, please submit a work order via FIXIT, so they can be repaired promptly
