Subject: Campus Events and End of the Semester Celebrations!

Dear Seawolves,

The end of the spring semester is always full of life at Stony Brook! We’re so happy that our beloved campus traditions are back this year after a long hiatus. Whether you’ve been hanging out at Staller Steps, or you attended Brookfest, Earthstock, or Pride Fest, we hope you have been able to find time to enjoy our beautiful campus and warmer weather with friends.

There are many campus events and celebrations happening over the next couple of weeks. Come join the fun!

Tomorrow, April 29 from 12-5 pm at Roth Pond is the 33rd Annual Roth Regatta, our cardboard boat race and the biggest event of the year! This unique Stony Brook campus tradition was created by a group of students back in 1989. Nowhere else can you build a boat made out of cardboard and duct tape and sail it across a pond! Come watch the 64 registered boats compete for first place. Enjoy free food, music, and more. And if you want to see Roth Pond up close, check out the latest “What’s Up, Rick?” video

Also, happening tomorrow, Friday, April 29 at 4 pm is the Spirit of Stony Brook Drumline & Color Guard Showcase! Join us at the Staller Steps to check out this lively celebration of Stony Brook spirit and pride!

Then, on Wednesday, May 4 from 12-2:30 pm at SAC Plaza, join us for Strawberry Fest & Diversity Day. This event celebrates our diverse community of identities, cultures, and backgrounds. Enjoy free strawberry-themed food!

On Friday, May 6 from 12-3 pm at SAC Plaza, celebrate the last day of spring classes and Wolfie’s Mascot Madness win as the #1 SUNY Mascot! We’ll have live music, to-go treats, and a photobooth where you can take a picture with Wolfie.

As you prepare for finals, save Monday, May 9 (Reading Day) from 11 pm-1 am forMidnight Breakfast at East Side Dining.  Come enjoy free food and fun sponsored by Campus Dining. Also on Reading Day, stop by the Union Lobby from 5-6 pm where we will be passing out snacks and wishing you good luck during finals!

We look forward to seeing you at all of these events. Go Seawolves!

Sincerely,
