Biography:

In Matthew's time at Stony Brook they plan on studying artificial intelligence, quantum computing, computer vision, and robotics. In Matthew's free time they like to go to the gym, listen to music, play the piano, and hang out with friends and family. Before becoming a Simons STEM Scholar, Matthew participated in the Gifted Math Program at University at Buffalo.

Leading the Future:

"Computer science can be applied to almost any other field, so I see myself using that to my advantage to collaborate and bridge the gap between many different fields and people."

Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:

"As a Simons STEM Scholar you are given connections and opportunities that help you succeed and set you apart from others. I believe this is priceless."

What would you say to someone who is applying?:

"The Simons STEM Scholars program almost feels too good to be true. Not only do you get funding, but you also get so much support from staff, a community to be a part of, and so many opportunities."
