Biography:

In Ian's time at Stony Brook, he plans on studying biomedical engineering, neurobiology, and cancer pathology. In Ian's free time, he likes to go to the gym, play basketball, and spend time with his family and friends. 

Leading the Future:

"I hope to be a scientist that people can depend on when it comes to healthcare, while also being an inspiration to kids who look like, or see parts of themselves through me."

Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:

"I chose to be a Simon’s STEM Scholar due to the multitude of research and academic opportunities it provides, as well as the outstanding support given by the staff and my peers."

What would you say to someone who is applying?:

"The Simons STEM Scholars program will push you to be the best version of yourself, but also always support you to do so. So, if you’re a driven individual ready to accomplish your goals, Simons is a great place for you to be."
