Biography:

In Walter's time at Stony Brook they plan on studying health and international economics. In Walter's free time, they like to appreciate nature, travel and try new foods. Before becoming a Simons STEM Scholar, Walter participated in NASA Techrise through the Brentwood Research program and Stony Brook STEP.

Leading the Future:

"I envision myself amplifying unheard voices, learning from diverse perspectives, and driving progress toward a more equitable and inclusive future in STEM for the next generations."

Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:

"The program sounded like everything I needed in a college experience. Now living the experience, it is better than I imagined. "

What would you say to someone who is applying?:

"Be open to the idea of research, Simons is great for those who are curious about what they are studying and applying course material with the real world."
