Biography:

In Viviana's time at Stony Brook, they plan on studying computational and systems biology, computational oncology, and bioinformatics. In Viviana's free time, they like to binge tv shows, spend time with family and friends, and read books in Spanish.  

Leading the Future:

"I want to lead STEM into a more inclusive future, including breaking down systemic barriers, and mentoring the future generations of leaders, researchers and scientists." 

Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:

"I found a community to which I related to, could count on, and lend a hand towards." 

What would you say to someone who is applying?:

"Stay true to yourself and your ambitions, the right people will see that within you."

Summer 2025- Stony Brook University under Carlos Simmerling on "Preparing and analyzing the experimental structures for further testing of new protein force field candidate"
