Biography:

In Isabella's time at Stony Brook they plan to research computational astronomy and planetary sciences, including data science and object-oriented programming. In Isabella's free time they like to dance, sing, and act, as well as binge-watch tv shows and listen to music. Before becoming a Simons STEM Scholar Isabella was president and programming head of her high school's Girls Who Code club and robotics team, where they competed at FIRST robotics competition (team 3204!)

Leading the Future:

"I plan to conduct research in computational astronomy and broaden the knowledge of the vast and amazing universe around us."

Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:

"I chose to become a Simons STEM Scholar because STEM has always been my passion. The amazing resources and community this program provides foster an environment of knowledge and acceptance, allowing me to feel supported and pursue my dreams."

What would you say to someone who is applying?:

"I would say to definitely do it! This program is certainly not easy but hard work reaps rewards. The people you meet and the experiences you will get are so incredibly worth it!"
