Biography:

In Gabrielle's time at Stony Brook they plan on studying interdisciplinary engineering approaches. In Gabrielle's free time, they like to read books, binge tv shows, play tennis and go to the gym. Before becoming a Simons STEM Scholar, Gabrielle participated in the CUNY Research Scholars Program (CRSP), where they explored condensed matter physics. At MITES, Gabrielle built a neural network that recommends songs using the Spotify API. Gabrielle also wrote a literature analysis on innovative male contraceptive technologies.

Leading the Future:

"I see myself helping other STEM enthusiasts grow, whether through mentorship, teaching, or creating tools that make science more accessible."

Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:

"If we want to truly diversify STEM, we need more programs like this one that invests in people and potential."

What would you say to someone who is applying?:

"Just apply. Honestly, I learned so much about myself and my goals just by going through the application process."
