Biography:

In Gabriel's time at Stony Brook, they plan on studying resilience and sustainability of infrastructure. In Gabriel's free time, they like to play basketball, listen to music, go to the gym, and spend time with friends and family.

Leading the Future:

"I aim to develop sustainable and resilient structures that not only withstand natural/environmental conditions, but also minimize environmental impact. Through research, I hope to contribute to the advancements in structural engineering that integrate technology and materials to build smarter and more efficient structures."

Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:

"I chose to become a Simons STEM Scholar because of the unwavering support this program provides. I saw the connection programmatic staff made with scholars and it showed me genuine care, and it gave me sense of belonging within the STEM field."

What would you say to someone who is applying?:

"You should! This program has extremely great benefits and gives you a family to surround yourself with before you start college. Also, be yourself!"
