Leading the Future:
"I want to work in aerospace industry and research, developing the next frontier of
travel beyond our planet, and pioneer technology that will make space travel more
efficient and viable. I also want to work on integrating clean energy into these operations,
and ways to reuse aerospace shuttles so we can preserve the quality of Earth while
expanding our reach in space."
Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:
"I chose to become a Simons STEM Scholar because of the community and the opportunities
provided. The support from not only staff but each other scholar allows me to keep
my footing when times get rough. Beyond the support and family created by this community,
the opportunities presented are above anything I would experience at other institutions."
What would you say to someone who is applying?:
"Do it. You don't have to be valedictorian with 20 extracurriculars and any previous
research experience. Show your passion, your drive, and willingness to succeed in
STEM. Even if you don't think you'll make it, just apply. I thought I had no chance,
but here I am. Opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye, but regret can last
a lifetime."
