Leading the Future:

"I want to be a part of the growing percentage of Latinos pursuing higher education and STEM. My hope is that one day, an aspiring engineer, scientist, or doctor will see that the number of Latinos with degrees in STEM have risen, and they feel empowered to pursue those dreams. To know that I will be a part of that change drives me to accomplish my dreams. "

Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:

"From Selection Weekend, I knew that Simons was the place for me. I had never been around so many people who were so different and yet were as passionate for STEM as I was. Being a part of that community for Selection Weekend gave me a glimpse into what my next 4 years could be like. Today, I cannot imagine myself being anywhere else."

What would you say to someone who is applying?:

"This program is one of a kind. It merges support from all angles (financial, educational, professional, etc.) and packs it into one office with staff that are dedicated toward your success."
