On Friday, September 11, 2026, we will join communities throughout New York, across our nation and the world to pause and remember the events of September 11, 2001. Activities across campus will be structured to create opportunities for learning, remembrance, contemplation and healing.

Join us at Stony Brook University for a Memorial Stadium Climb at the Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium on Sunday, September 13, 2026, as we climb the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center Towers — a symbolic challenge to honor the courage and sacrifice of that day.
