Nicholas Wilson

Nicholas Hoover Wilson is a historical sociologist focused on two main threads of work: the dynamics of corruption over time, especially in the administration of empires; and the sociology of knowledge and science, especially how interdisciplinary intellectual projects arise and diffuse.  His computational interests lie in dynamic networks, natural language processing, and inferring meaning and intentionality from texts.  His research has been published in, among other places, The American Journal of Sociology and European Journal of Sociology.
