Attending CSHL Conferences

SBU faculty, postdocs, and grad students who want to audit a Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory meeting may do so, but they must register online at least two weeks prior to the meeting. This entitles the registrant to a name tag with a red dot. It does not include free food, and seats in the auditorium must not be taken from paying meeting attendees. Abstract books also are not included but may be purchased on the last day of the meeting. SBU faculty, postdocs and grad students who submit an abstract must also register online by the abstract deadline and must pay the academic or student rate. This entitles the registrant to meals and an abstract book.

TL;DR: SBU personnel may audit at no charge. But if an abstract is submitted, they must adhere to normal registration rules.
