This fellowship carries an academic year stipend of $31,250.00. It is renewable for up to an additional four years (making a total of five years), contingent on academic performance. The funding package for the first four years is comprised of a full TA appointment of $26,000.00, and a GCF supplement of $5,250. In year 5, the awardee will have no assistantship obligation and be supported fully by a fellowship stipend of $29,000. The appointment portion of this award is employment and is generally fulfilled by holding a Teaching Assistantship (effort of 15-20 hours/week) in each of the first four years.
