Nadeem Siddiqui Appointed Executive Director for Faculty Student Association

Nadeem Siddiqui

Dear All,

As the President of the Faculty Student Association Board of Directors, it is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Nadeem Siddiqui as the Executive Director for the Faculty Student Association(FSA) effective November 14, 2016.

FSA is a 501(C)3 not-for-profit corporation which oversees and operates approximately $60 million of auxiliary services for Stony Brook University including the campus dining, course materials and campus retail stores programs. FSA's primary objective is to provide high quality, customer oriented services that best support the mission of the University.

In his new role, Nadeem will serve as the Chief Operating Officer of our auxiliary corporation and will provide the strategic vision and leadership for FSA with emphasis on the continued development, refinement and implementation of services delivered. He will be responsible for understanding and advocating the issues and needs of our students and other campus constituencies as they relate to FSA's contractual services and will lead the planning processes for long/short term strategic goals.

Nadeem has a professional background that encompasses executive leadership, strategy development, and financial management in higher education. His experience includes successfully leading dining and auxiliary services management in several AAU and Ivy League universities. He has a history of building collaborative relationships within the academic community, especially student groups, to facilitate program development and management.

I am confident that Nadeem's work will contribute to the quality of campus life in a flexible, efficient and responsive manner to support the mission of the Stony Brook campus in response to evolving stakeholder needs and institutional priorities.

On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Dr. Timothy Ecklund for serving as the Search Chair as well as the search committee, comprised of faculty, students and staff, for their time and effort during the search and selection process. I would also like to thank Kevin Kelly for his long term service to our campus as Executive Director.
