• President's Volunteer Service Award

  Students who are U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents of the U.S. who volunteer at the Stony Brook University Food Pantry are eligible to receive the President's Volunteer Service Award. The award recognizes individuals whose service positively impacts communities and inspires those around them to take action.During a 12-month period, if you volunteer:

  • 100-174 hours, you are eligible to receive the Bronze award.
  • 175-249 hours, you are eligible to receive the Silver award.
  • 250+ hours, you are eligible to receive the Gold award.

  If you volunteer 100+ hours during a 12-month period, but you are not a U.S. citizen nor a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., you will receive a similar recognition of your service on behalf of Stony Brook University. All students will be recognized for their service.If you have any questions about the President's Volunteer Service Award, please email SBUFoodPantry@stonybrook.edu.

  The President's Volunteer Service Award will consider volunteer hours at the Stony Brook University Food Pantry as of May 24, 2021. Prior volunteer hours will not be considered.
