President's Op-ed

Stony Brook University President Samuel L. Stanley Jr., MD, an internationally recognized expert in the field of infectious diseases, authored an op-ed on the Ebola threat in Newsday's issue of September 12, 2014.

Entitled "A Sure Way to Attack Deadly Ebola," the op-ed urges a speedy worldwide response to the epidemic.

"The best way to ensure an Ebola outbreak does not reach our shores is to conquer the virus where it exists -- with a massive infusion of resources to stop it in its tracks," Stanley writes.
