Hack@CEWIT 2022

Hacking Into the Metaverse

MLH

February 18-20, 2022 | CEWIT

The Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) hosts its sixth annual student hackathon bringing over 300 regional hackers, industry sponsorship commitments, and hands-on tech talks and workshops together virtually for a two-day technical challenge awarding over $5K in prizes. This year's theme is Hacking Into the Metaverse, and we will be featuring NFTs, Blockchain, Crypto, the Metaverse, and more. Technology has become more important than ever this past year and we believe students can create incredible new innovations to further enhance the quality of life with technology.

The two-day digital hack culminating during President's Day is designed in collaboration with our core industry partners, sponsors, and member entrepreneurs to select scenarios that will have a direct, real-world application to their product portfolios. All students must pre-register in advance.

Stony Brook University Student

"Hack@CEWIT is an amazing experience to learn & make use of new technology & make new friends along the way!" John, Stony Brook University

"My team and I came in at knowing almost nothing about building a chrome extension but we came out winning a prize for best education hack and having learned very much!"  Farmingdale University Student
