Synthesis ans Study of an Analog for the [Fe4S4]3+ center of Oxidized High Potential Iron-Sulfur Proteins, Journal of the American Chemical Society, 107, 4096 (1985).
Professor Millar's research involved the design and synthesis od transition metal-thiolate complexes as models for metalloenzymes. Most notably, she prepared and studied analogs for the oxidized [Fe4S4] cluster center of the electron-transfer enzyme, rubredoxin. She was an enthusiastic classroom teacher and a dedicated mentor to many students.
