Wolfie Statue and Seating Area

Overview

This project installed a seven-foot statue of Wolfie with a companion seating area at the east end of the Academic Mall. Made possible through a generous donation from alumnus Ken Marcus ’71, the installation serves as a lasting symbol of Seawolf pride and school spirit.

Key Highlights

• Installed a seven-foot Wolfie statue
• Created a paved seating area with bench
• Added surrounding landscaping to enhance the setting
• Located prominently at the east end of the Academic Mall

Impact
The Wolfie statue provides a welcoming gathering place for the entire Stony Brook University community. It offers a destination for photos, reflection, and connection, reinforcing campus pride and the enduring Seawolf spirit.
