There is no special pre-law course of study or major at Stony Brook. Admission to law school depends on the quality of academic work rather than on the field in which it is done. You should enroll in courses at Stony Brook that you enjoy, and that improve reading, critical thinking, communication, writing, and analytical skills. News from The Pre-Law Society

Wednesday, April 29th: 7pm-8:30pm in SAC 306- Come to the Law School Exhibition! Visit representatives from different New York law schools and get an idea of which school might be the right school for you! This is another great place to show off your networking skills and get the inside scoop!

Friday, May 1st: 4pm in Humanities 1003-Law Forum! This is the Grand Finale of our Stony Brook Pre-Law Awareness month. The Law Forum is a panel discussion consisting of one judge, 3 attorneys and one current law school student. This diverse panel have had diverse careers and thus have diverse perspectives! There will also be a question and answer portion. This is also an excellent place to find that perfect summer internship!
