The New York State Department of Health is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for the 2010 New York State Public Health Works! Undergraduate Internship Program. The purpose of the program is to introduce undergraduate students to the variety of public health careers available for individuals with training in a science- based field.
Undergraduate college students majoring in science fields, such as biology,chemistry and earth science, or public health, are eligible to apply for the program. Graduates or seniors planning to graduate in May of 2010 are not eligible to apply. Internships will last for 8 weeks beginning on or around June 1, 2010 and students will receive a stipend of $3,000.
