December Commencement
Congratulations to the members of the Class of 2012 on your graduation from Stony Brook University. This site has been set up to provide information related to attending the University's December Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. The Ceremony will confer bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees for Summer 2011 and Fall 2011/Winter 2012 Graduates.

December 22, 2011 @ 1:00 p.m. – Main Arena, Sports Complex
Assembly for all candidates
December 22, 2011 @ 12 Noon - Pritchard Gym
Each candidate will be presented to the President and Provost by name.
Requirements
Undergraduate candidates must complete both University and major requirements by the preceding Summer or Fall semester to participate in the ceremony.
IMPORTANT: To obtain tickets, candidates must complete and submit the Ceremony Attendance Form on the Solar System. This form must be completed no later than November 30, 2011 in order to be eligible for tickets to the ceremony. Upon completion of the Ceremony Attendance Form on the Solar System, you will receive a confirmation solar message instructing you when and where you can pick up tickets. Please be sure to print out this confirmation for reference.

RECEPTION FOLLOWING CEREMONY on 12/22/11. The Alumni Association and Alumni Relations will host a reception in the Pritchard Gym immediately following the Commencement ceremony.
Deadline for UNDERGRADUATE candidates to apply for graduation is 9/12/11
Deadline for GRADUATE candidates to apply for graduation is 9/19/11
Deadline for SPD candidates to apply for graduation is 10/1/11
Academic attire will be available in the bookstore 11/15/11
The Ceremony Attendance Form will be available on SOLAR 10/24/11 TO 11/30/11
