Annual Children's Concert MASQUERADE!! Colin Carr - Six Suites for Unaccompanied Cello
A rare musical experience takes place at Staller Center when Colin Carr, virtuoso cellist and artist-in-residence, performs all six Bach Cello Suites in two concerts over two days. Pablo Casals launched the Bach Cello Suites’ popularity in the 1930s and since then, master cellists, including Rostropovich and Yo-Yo Ma, have followed with their own interpretations, taking on the music’s complexities and challenges.

Stony Brook Chamber Music Festival
Faculty, students, guest artists, and members of the Emerson String Quartet perform chamber works of all genres, style periods, and configurations. Lunchtime concerts are held at noon and the main concerts are held at 8:00 PM. The week also includes public masterclasses, pre-performance lectures, and jazz each night after the concert.
