About the Gala

Every spring the Stony Brook Foundation hosts a fundraising Gala to benefit student scholarships and a select academic program generating more than $39 million since 2000. We look forward to several of our student scholars joining us this year.

Proceeds from the Stars of Stony Brook Gala will support student scholarships, the Dubin Challenge for the Indoor Training Center and Stony Brook Baseball.

INDOOR TRAINING CENTER 
The Dubin Challenge was established by Glenn Dubin ’78, Hon. ’12 and Dr. Eva Andersson-Dubin to inspire Stony Brook friends, fans and family to support current and future Stony Brook student-athletes. The $5 million matching challenge grant will set the stage to build the new Indoor Training Center, which will feature a 100-yard indoor multipurpose synthetic turf practice field, enabling all 20 Stony Brook intercollegiate athletic teams to have a year-round practice and training facility. The state-of-the-art design will include innovative lighting, film equipment, sound and video systems, and a ceiling with a clearance height of 90 feet.
