Biodegradable initiatives at the Dining Hall / China First Sustainable Practices

Stony Brook University Campus Dining offers patrons "green" options when dining. All dining locations utilize biodegradable disposable products, including plates, utensils, cups and grab and go containers. These products utilize the latest in PLA technology and are all made from vegetable starches. In addition Campus Dining offers a China First program at Campus Connection @ H-Quad. Guests are encouraged to use reusable plates and flatware for in-house dining. Disposable options are available, but reusable containers are encouraged in an effort to reduce landfill waste.
