Biography

Sean plans to study topology at Stony Brook. Outside the classroom, he enjoys playing flute, swimming, coding, and meeting new people on campus. Before becoming a Simons STEM Scholar, Sean participated in a pre-engineering CTE program and FIRST Tech Challenge. He is excited to join the mathematics community and learn from the people around him.

Leading the Future:

Sean plans to conduct research in algebra, topology, and dynamical systems, and he is excited by the work connected to the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics.

Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?

Sean became a Simons STEM Scholar because the program's close community made studying away from home feel possible and helped him see a path toward becoming a mathematics researcher.

Spring 2024: Stony Brook University with Dr. Christopher Bishop, working on iterated monodromy groups.
