BICYCLING ON CAMPUS

'You Are One Ride Away From A Good Mood'

USING YOUR BIKE ON CAMPUS: Stony Brook University encourages the University community to bring and utilize a bicycle to navigate the campus. Our bicycle paths provide a scenic, environmentally friendly and convenient way to travel about campus.

BIKE RACKS: The University community can also utilize the various bike racks on campus free of charge.

PAUL SIMONS MEMORIAL BIKE PATH: The Paul Simons Memorial Bicycle Path was built in memory of Paul Simons, a former Stony Brook student and avid cyclist. The six-mile long path is open to students, faculty, staff, and to the public.

WOLF RIDE BIKE SHARE: SBU Wolf Ride Bike Share is the University's bike share system that provides students, faculty, staff and visitors with a sustainable, healthy transportation alternative.

SBU Wolf Ride Bike Share is operated by the University's Office of Sustainability and is a "per ride" bicycle sharing system that provides users with the ability to travel from one University location to another using a zero emissions form of transportation. In addition to environmental advantages, Wolf Ride also serves to limit roadway vehicular congestion and encourages health and physical exercise.
