My name is Jennifer Marie Nierer. I was born in Brooklyn, New York
and grew up there. I attended Brooklyn Technical High School and
it was there that I first became interested in science and
mathematics and in physics in particular. I also studied some
electrical engineering in my high school -- since my high school
had a choice of majors -- and during my first semester at Stony
Brook. But I am now more interested in the broadness of physics
and the opportunities to study various phenomena that occur in the
physical world. My hopes for the future are to learn more about
what's involved in doing great research and to continue my study
of physics. I hope to eventually earn a Phd in physics and share
my passion -- and perhaps with enough work some scientific ideas
of my own -- with other students the way others have inspired me.
