Today we had a visit from Laser Sam, who talked about different types of lasers and gave a quick overview of how they work. The talk helped me get a tighter grasp on what it means to have "laser modes." Also, I'm jealous of his blue diode laser because it seems to have better beam quality than the one I have to use. In addition to Laser Sam, though, we had many other visitors. The Teaching Center was packed tight, but the visitors were very curious and even tried to help me with my quest to find a 100V AC signal.
