Biography
I am a senior at South Side High
School. I have been involved in the South Side
Research Program since freshman year under the guidance of Mr.
Richard Kurtz. I have recently been interested in Fluid Dynamics and Soap
Films. During the Simons Program, I was able to further develop
my research as well as learn more about optics and lasers.
I first became
interested in the field of soap films when I read this article in
Scientific American:
Fun
with Flat Fluids. I have also worked in the field of physics
in ninth grade when I studied the effect of sound vibrations on sand. I
was interested in the patterns formed when different musical notes were
applied to the sand.
Next year, I will be studying at the University of Pennsylvania in the Jerome Fisher Management and
Technology Program.
