Summary
In Fall 2023, Central HR proudly reestablished training across West Campus and the
Health Sciences with the launch of the Training and Organizational Development (TOD)
unit—a foundational part of our university’s investment in people, performance, and
possibility. Our mission: to build a culture where all employees can grow, lead, and
thrive with clarity and confidence.
As part of the HR Now initiative and the university’s strategic priority to “Grow
and Recognize Our People”, TOD helps foster innovation, expand development opportunities,
and build lasting capacity for learning at every level.
Now branded as Wolfpack Learning, this unit serves as the engine of Stony Brook’s Career Enablement Ecosystem—a human-centered,
AI-enhanced framework empowering employees through personalized pathways, curated
content, and tools that support reflection, coaching, and advancement.
