Biography
Joshua Teplitsky's work focuses on Jewish history in Central Europe in the early modern
period (16th–18th centuries) with an emphasis on the city of Prague. He studies the
relationship between Jews and their surrounding societies -- as well as the social,
cultural, and intellectual exchanges between Jews and Christians. Joshua is also an
expert and
author
about the study of books, printing, and media, and digital humanities.
He is currently researching the history of epidemic disease, and is planning a book
about the outbreak of the plague in early modern Prague and its impact on Jewish life.
The American Academy for Jewish Research recently

Prince of the Press: How One Collector Built History’s Most Enduring and Remarkable
