Biography
Arnout van de Rijt's work exploits novel data collection opportunities enabled by present-day communication technology to answer longstanding questions about the origins of social order and societal inequality. His research topics include online social networks, crowd-funding, immigrant assimilation, online petitioning, peer collaboration on Wikipedia, fame, PED use in sports, residential segregation and intimate relationships.
